How to measure available floor space for underfloor heating?
Please follow the process below to calculate your room size
Step 1
Measure the length and the width of the room,
Then multiply the length and width. Length x Width = Area
Step 2
Remove the total area of any permanent/fixed units or other items which would block the heat.
Step 3
Total heating area (sqm) = Total area (sqm) – Unheated area (sqm)
Generally, calculate 10% less than the total heated area for fitting.
Step 4
Measure heat mat area
