How to install Electric Underfloor Heating for vinyl floor?

We have created a animated video to show how to install our underfloor heating insulation boards, heatmats and thermostats.

Basic Procedures for Installation of insulation board, electric heatmat, and Vinyl Plank Flooring

Firstly make sure subfloor is levelled. If subfloor is uneven, apply Self Levelling Compound.

Secondly lay insulation boards on top of the subfloor.

Thirdly attach electric heatmat over the insulation boards

Then apply Self Levelling Compound on top of the heatmat to create an even surface for heat distribution

Finally attach Vinyl Plank Flooring to the levelled floor.

Tips for installation of Vinyl Plank Flooring

We would recommend laying a 5mm thick of Self Levelling Compound (screed) on top of the heatmat.

The screed layer helps to distribute heat evenly across the floor surface and prevent the direct contact between the wires and the Vinyl Plank Flooring.
